This falls into "take it with a grain of salt" category, but the rumour courtesy of Slashgear is that Verizon has given the green light for a successor to RIM's controversial BlackBerry Storm, the smartphone-maker's first touchscreen device that launched in November to mixed reviews. The one complaint more ubiquitous than complaints about the SurePress touchscreen was the lack of Wi-Fi, a fairly egregious omission for a smartphone, which the Storm 2 is reportedly going to address. There's no word on what other changes might be in store for the Storm 2, but an inside source placed September of this year as the expected launch window.
