iPhone 3.0 looks to have video recording features; interface screenshots revealed

iPhone OS 3.0 beta testers may have taken screenshots of next-generation iPhone features hidden within the software.

The rumor is that a new version of the iPhone hardware will hit the streets in June, and since that's around the same time that the final version of the 3.0 software will be launched, it's a fair guess that there are clues held within the beta test operating system that's out in the wild now.

MacRumors struck first with a screenshot (the left one above) of a hidden, normally deactivated video recording interface. This wouldn't be a surprise anyway, but it looks like the new iPhone might have a video camera. A couple hours later, The Boy Genius Report posted a few more screenshots revealing an interface for browsing videos (middle above), what could be a voice dialing feature (to the right above), and more robust battery life monitoring features (head over to BGR to see those pics).

You might want to hold off on signing that two year contract with a new iPhone for a couple months; if these images are legit, the next iPhone will be a significant update.
