Need a new TV, recession be damned? Spend responsibly, but if you've just gotta have it, Sharp is working on the new DH77 LCD HDTV. Available in 52, 46, 42, and 32-inch models at varying (but as-yet unrevealed) price points, the DH77 sets all do 1080p resolution (yes, even the 32-incher) at 100 Hz refresh rates. Other details are elusive at present, but those two tidbits mean they'll likely be among Sharp's top models. Be warned: you might not consider these TVs cheap.

Apart from the high-end specs, the DH77 line also distinguishes itself with an "eco" button. Press it and the TV will go into a power-saving mode, cutting back on your electric bill and making you feel good about helping mother Earth, though we're not sure specifically what it does to cut back on its energy consumption. No release date has been announced, but keep on twiddling; we'll have more info eventually. Promise!
