If your using Boxee on your Apple TV, you might want to hurry home and turn off automatic updates ASAP. The latest Apple TV update appears to do nothing more than remove Boxee from your Apple TV.
If you want to hold on to the app (even though it doesn't support Hulu anymore) then the easiest solution is to just turn off automatic updates. To do that:
- Go to the "Launcher" menu on the main menu
- Select "Settings"
- Change "ATV OS Update enabled" to say "No"
- Continue to enjoy all that Boxee goodness
If you didn't manage to catch your Apple TV in time, Lifehacker has a guide up on how to re-install Boxee using a USB stick that might help you get it back.

This was just a one-two punch orchestrated by Apple.
First, get Hulu to pull out from Boxee
Next knock Boxee off of your ATV
Apple is assuming that the dedicated ATV "hobbyists" won't bother putting Boxee back on if Hulu support is not there.
In the end Hulu is hurting iTunes sales.

It was reported this morning that the latest AppleTV update FUBAR'd Boxee, but that's not true, says Boxee. Each firmware update from Apple will normally erase non-Apple menu items from AppleTV. pool filters Boxee users simply need to re-apply the patchstick to add the menu item back. Additionally boxee software and data persists so after the patchstick has be applied, user logins, media sources, preferences, etc. will be just as they were before the upgrade. I had Boxee installed on my AppleTV, pool chemicals but removed it. They have 3 software installs and one of them makes my Apple tv menu come up blank. You see the outline of the menu, but nothing inside and the only way to get it back, is by doing an Apple TV re-install; pool party that erases all of your movies you paid for and Apple won't re-download them to you. It's nice, but something I can live without. Play it safe and install boxee on your computer.
