Google wants you to add a little color to your life, specifically to your Gmail inbox. Where as you used to be limited to Gmail's own themes, now you can add your own special twist to the background, links, tabs, and text within your inbox with customized colors. The new feature allows you to tweak the sidebar as well as the main inbox, and gives you the option of adding your own custom colors to the mix.

To get your color on:

  1. Go to "Settings"
  2. Select "Themes"
  3. Click "Choose your own colors"
  4. Start decorating

Design freaks beware, even if you customize your colors you're stuck with the multicolored Gmail logo which may or may not coordinate with your new pimping inbox.
