The newest iteration of Nintendo's money-printing handheld has been out in Japan since November of last year, and come April 5 those of us behind-the-times gamers in the U.S. will get a chance to pick one up without having to import it. The Nintendo DSi will be available in black and a new color not currently available in Japan, blue — but curiously, not available in white despite that color's availability in Nintendo's home country.

Featuring larger dual screens that the current DS Lite at 3.25-inches each, 2 VGA cameras (0.3 megapixel resolution), SD card support and access to a downloadable content store called DSiWare (similar to the WiiWare service available for the Wii), the DSi will debut in the States at a retail price of $170.
