Nokia Ovi store sells apps and ringtones for cell phones
While the service will resemble the Apple App Store and Android Market at first glance, location-based recommendations, and social features will set it apart.

The Apple App Store and Android Market might have offered you this first, but Nokia knows a good thing when it sees it; the company is introducing the Ovi Store, an online portal where you can download applications, games, podcasts, videos, ringtones, and widgets for your Nokia cell phone. The Ovi Store will be included with the forthcoming Nokia N97, but if you've got an older phone that runs on the S40 or S60 platforms, you'll likely be able to add the store to your device come May.
It's not entirely a copy of what's come before, either. Supposedly it will make download recommendations to you based on what you've downloaded and liked before, and even where you're at. It will also have a feature that lets you browse through some applications that people in your "social network" have downloaded to find good stuff. And of course, the apps can be developed by just about anyone, not just Nokia.
