When Google Labs recently added the Gmail functionality called 'Multiple Inboxes,' many rejoiced at the thought that they would be able to view all their separate Gmail accounts on one easy-to-navigate screen. Alas, this is not the case, and while the option to view all of a single account's folders on one screen is nifty, it sure would be nice to have the former option available as well.

The folks at CNET took it upon themselves to tweak the new Multiple Inboxes option to show inboxes for multiple Gmail accounts, and provided a guide on how to do it.

Upon completing the steps outlined in the guide, your secondary Gmail accounts will use simple forwarding to bring all your mail to one location. Your primary Gmail account, with Multiple Inboxes activated, will then sort the messages and present them as though you were viewing all your accounts at once.

With just a couple of things holding it back from being a real multiple-inbox feature (sending emails from accounts other than your primary requires some message-specific changes), this is a handy trick to know for anyone with more than one Gmail account.
