Xbox 360 and Netflix: a match made in marketing heaven. Netflix added a way for the target movie-renting market to watch its flicks while catering to those who may have been too intimidated to attempt the streaming method on their home computers, while further eliminating the need to send out a physical disc and pay costly postage. It was a move that was sure to help Netflix in the current economy.

That decision is now paying off in a big way as it seems every time we turn around the Netflix Xbox Live service has hit a new milestone. Today is no exception as Microsoft has announced the service, which is available to those with both a Xbox Live Gold subscription and a Netflix account, has delivered movies to a cool one million Xbox Live users, totaling 1.5 billion minutes of playback.

That's over 2,800 years' worth of streaming video, all without costing anyone a single stamp. That, friends, is what we call optimization.
