We've posted about Boing Boing Gadgets' chart of OS X hackintosh compatible netbooks in the past and recently they posted an update to the chart. Today, they posted another chart from Apple Different that actually benchmarks the performance of OS X running on an Apple iBook G4 compared to a hackintoshed copy of OS X running on the Atom N270 processors found in current netbooks like the MSI Wind. The results basically make it clear that a new 3rd party netbook hacked to run OS X runs it faster than a two year old model iBook. Of course, comparing any of these devices against a current entry level MacBook would leave them all in the dust.

On today's Daily Obsession, we thought we'd show you the other end of the spectrum: how incredibly slowly and problematically OS X runs on a first generation Asus Eee PC that we had lying around. Watch today's Daily Obsession embedded below and don't forget to follow us on Twitter, join our Facebook group, and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
