There's not much we can tell you about this that's not already apparent. The product speaks for itself. Oh dear. Moving along: yep, it's a computer speaker shaped like a cartoon speech bubble, and it's called the. Speak-er. "the." because that's the name of the company that makes it, and "Speak-er" cause, well... you know.

The pair will cost you $120, and while they won't start shipping till later this year, you can already place an order. At six watts each they could make for fine desktop audio, but we'll have to hear for ourselves to be sure.

To think just a decade ago you had those ugly, off-white bricks for speakers. First come the basics, then comes the pizzazz, right?
