Recently announced and shown off at CES, Cloud Engines' Pogoplug is an adapter about the size of a typical power brick that can share a USB hard drive in your home securely over the web for remote access. We had a chance to get a hands-on demo at the show and came away impressed with the ease of use and the company's intense commitment to Mac support. They've just notified us of a sweet Public Beta program that could deliver one of these gadgets to you for testing; you'd get to keep the device at the end, approximately a $100 value. It's only open to residents of the US and Canada for now but if that's you and you've been looking for a pretty painless way to access files from home securely and remotely, head on over and sign yourself up for the Public Beta.
