If you're a music lover with a T-Mobile G1 (or sporting an Android dev phone, or have managed to get your secret eye mitts on a (perhaps mythical) Kogan Agora or G2...) you'll be happy to note that the last.fm social music service has an official Android application available (they've had a beloved iPhone application already). There have been some attempts at unofficial last.fm apps but none to write home about; the official app includes typical features from the web service including personalized radio streams, dynamically generated playlists based on your favorite artists or genres, and tracking of the music you listen to to incorporate into your public listening profile.

You should be able to grab the application in the Android Market later today (it doesn't appear to be up yet); if you have a chance to check it out, be sure to let us know what you think in the comments.

Man, I'd love for there to be one for Blackberry!

Hopefully when the BlackBerry app store launches in March we'll start seeing some interesting new BB apps cropping up; seems like brands will naturally want to grab some mindshare in all 3 app stores and mobile platforms.
