What the hell is up with that island, anyway? You can look for answers with Boxee, the online video streaming software used in the Apple TV set-top-box and available for Mac and Linux computers. Boxee just added ABC.com to its already-vast list of sources of video content, and of course ABC.com streams Lost in high definition.

Unfortunately, Boxee only plays the standard definition version for now, and ABC content is only available on the Mac and Linux versions of the software, not the Apple TV one. You'll still have to hook your computer up to your TV if you want to watch Lost or any other ABC show on your bigscreen TV while lounging on your faux leather sofa.

If you're a Windows user or if you have an Apple TV, this won't help you yet. A Windows version is planned, though, and Boxee has pondered producing its own set-top-box for living room watching.
