The pair of Australian smartphones that promised to be the world's second Google Android cell phones, the Kogan Agora and the Kogan Agora Pro, have been removed from Kogan's online store with a simple message reading: "SORRY, THERE ARE NO PRODUCTS LISTED UNDER THIS CATEGORY." In a post on the company's blog, Kogan founder Ruslan Kogan stated earlier today:

The Agora did reach a very late stage of development. Manufacturing had commenced and it was a matter of days from being shipped to you. However, it now seems certain the Agora in it's current form will limit its compatibility and interoperability in the near future.

One of the potential issues is the screen size and resolution. It seems developers will be creating applications that are a higher resolution than the Agora is currently capable of handling.

So, despite having working models of the device in early production, the actual design of the Agora and Agora Pro featured a screen that was too small for future Google Android development and for supporting applications that would undoubtedly be released for the Android Market, so they pulled it. From the sounds of the post, Kogan plans on continuing to design the device and eventually coming out with a revised version of the Kogan Agora. If you'd already pre-ordered a Kogan Agora or Agora Pro, there's no need to panic: you'll be receiving a full refund on the device.
