Windows 7 beta extended beyond 2.5 million downloads

The public availability of the Windows 7 beta has seen massive popularity since Microsoft first granted access to it last week. If you've been following Obsessable, you know the trouble we had first finding a copy of the software to download, and later getting Microsoft's system to generate a CD key for us. To thank users for their interest in the beta despite ongoing problems in making the program available, Microsoft has announced that it is no longer limiting the offer to the first 2.5 million to download the operating system, as was its initial intention. Anyone downloading the beta during the next two weeks will receive a valid CD key, regardless of how many other people have already accessed the program. You can get your copy now direct from Microsoft.
