VIZIO is promoting energy savings with its announcement of seven LCD TVs, all with power consumption well below Energy Star standards. The smallest sets in the EcoHD line, the 19-inch VA19L HDTV10T and 22-inch VA220E draw under 60 watts of power while in operation. Larger models include the 26-inch VA26L HDTV10T and the 32-inch VA320E/VO320E. VIZIO gets at its count of seven TVs by including white and black bezels as different models, and even we couldn't tell what's the difference between the VA320E and VO320E from the specs VIZIO provided.

All the EcoHD models are only 720p sets, which should be fine for the smaller screens, but the 32-inchers probably could have stood to be 1080p. We're a bit concerned with low contrast ratio numbers on several of the offerings, especially the 26-inch screens, which claim a very low 2400:1 ratio, even with a dynamic backlight. Perhaps that's the cost for the more energy-efficient design VIZIO uses — a lot of a set's power is used up by its backlight. All the TVs include HDMI inputs and use SRS TruSurround for a pseudo-surround-sound effect. The 19- and 26-inch models are available now, with all the other sizes and the extra color options rolling out through summer.
