You can watch it with Boxee, with some Blu-ray players, with video game consoles, and with stand-alone boxes; we've been seeing more and more ways to get streaming Netflix content onto your television. LG is now making the next obvious evolution to all these add-on boxes, and is releasing TVs directly capable of playing Netflix. The new sets will be part of LG's "Broadband HDTV" series, featuring Ethernet jacks that let you attach them to your internet connection. From the set you'll be able to choose from movies and television programs in your Netflix queue and have them begin playing moments later, with full fast-forward and rewind control.

The one slightly annoying thing is that you'll still have to go to your computer and connect to Netflix's website to add content to your queue, so the only things you'll be able to select from your TV will be those you've chosen in advance. The limitation is certainly understandable, as it's no fun trying to spell out titles, hunting and pecking with an on-screen virtual keyboard, but it's still frustrating to come so close to a seamless Netflix-TV integration and have that last obstacle still in the way. LG will premiere sets with the technology at the CES, and plans to bring them to market this spring.
