While next week's Macworld conference will be Apple's last, rumors surrounding the Mac Mini and iMac haven't been in short supply. We cast our prediction on what we'll see from Apple during Macworld 2009 and so far, the reports have lined up with what we predicted. Apple's soon to be upgraded Mac Mini will likely sport other under the hood changes in addition to swappable drives.

The Mac mini hasn't seen an update in over a year which casts Macworld as the perfect opportunity to give Apple's slim desktop an overhaul. While the inclusion of NVIDIA's 9400M GPU has been casually confirmed to replace Intel's integrated video chip, the GMA 950, a new enclosure reminiscent of the iMac will transition the Mini into Apple's new theme of Aluminum and black plastic.

The next big addition that's been been rumored for a while is a Mini-DisplayPort connector which would make the Mini compatible with Apple's newest 24-inch LED Cinema Display. Other sources are also saying that the Mac will sport a  Mini-DVI connection alongside Mini-DisplayPort. The addition of a second video output port would allow the Mini to utilize two displays at the same time and give users a gentle transition from DVI-equipped displays to the new DisplayPort standard.
