Although the MSI Wind U115 was announced some time ago, the new netbook featuring both an internal SSD solid state hard drive and a larger internal traditional HDD hard drive has now officially launched. There's still no word on pricing or availability, but the U115 will soon be available in versions with an 8GB SSD / 80GB HDD, 16GB SSD / 120 GB HDD, and 32GB SSD / 160GB HDD. The operating system will live on the smaller, faster solid state drive, while the larger traditional hard drive will be used for storage, and the U115 will have a power saving mode via which you can run the machine solely off of the SSD drive with the HDD turned off and powered down.
