iPhone nano verification or Vaja publicity stunt?

One of the rumors that people keep talking about possibly appearing at Macworld 2009 is a new smaller iPhone that is being called the iPhone nano. As the iPhone 3G is priced at only $199 for the entry model (and available for only $99 refurbished from AT&T), making a smaller model seems unlikely, especially since smaller normally means less fully functional. However, well-known iPhone case manufacturer Vaja had a new iPhone nano listing on their website earlier today, but now it's gone.
What do you think? Did Apple demand they remove the listing or did Vaja just put it out there long enough to get some attention? Is Apple working on an iPhone nano or is this just Vaja capitalizing on the rumors of such a device to get a little extra attention pre-Macworld?
