AT&T may have had a nice thing going earlier this month when they offered the 8GB iPhone 3G refurbished for $50 off, but now until the end of the month (which is only a few days so better make it fast), the 8GB iPhone 3G is available for only $99 refurbished and the 16GB iPhone 3G is available refurbished in either black or white for only $199. That's a full $100 off the normal price of each phone, but you'll still need to pony up for a new 2 year contract with AT&T. Now the question becomes: do you spend that holiday money you scored on a new iPhone 3G or continue saving for that Mac netbook of your dreams that you're hoping will arrive at Macworld in early January?

In case you're worried about buying a refurbished product, you shouldn't be. The device is covered by a 90 day warranty via AT&T and should be covered by the same 1-year warranty as a new device by Apple; often all refurbished means is that someone bought the device, opened the box and then returned it.
