Acer is packing a quad-core Intel Core 2 processor into its latest laptop, the Aspire 8930G-7665. With the processor running at 2.53GHz and the system boasting 4GB of memory, the Aspire should be up to the task of handling even the latest games with high system demands. To help out with gaming performance, Acer is including a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GT graphics chipset.

Of course, a system this powerful isn't just useful for gaming. Acer is including a Blu-ray drive so you can watch the latest films on its 18.4-inch, 1920 x 1080 screen, the perfect resolution for HD content. You'll get a multi-format card reader for accessing files off mobile devices, and a webcam if you're up for doing some video conferencing. Storage isn't quite up to par with some of the quad-core gaming desktops we've been seeing, but the 500GB drive should be sufficient for most users. The laptop supports all the latest WiFi modes, including high-speed draft-n technology. The system is available now for order through Acer, running about $1,800.
