Want to spend every holiday with the family, surrounded by the very best of tech? Here are some ideas for using your gadgets to bring the family together in the spirit of the season. Once the presents are open and the big meal is finished, fun really ought to be the plan, and whether it's video games, movies, or something a bit more creative, there aren't any limits to what you can do while snowed in.

There are several family Christmas comedies available on Blu-ray, and we're picking just one example that should be entertaining for folks of all ages. Even the teenagers ought to enjoy this one thanks to the performance from SNL alum and frat comedy king Will Farrell. For other options, search Amazon. You're sure to find something worth watching!
Play LittleBigPlanet on PlayStation 3
LittleBigPlanet is a platformer (running and jumping, like Super Mario Bros.) that's suitable for all ages. You can create your own levels, and Sony just released a downloadable pack full of holiday goodies like costumes and level decorations. It's a good opportunity to be creative together by making a level, then rushing through it for some zany fun.
Have a contest to see who can find the most Christmas trees on Google Earth
This one might be time consuming, but Google Earth is a great learning tool, and some of its satellite photos were taken around Christmas-time. Large trees should be visible. Alternatively, you could think of your favorite New York Christmas movies and find the locations. Did the kids enjoy Home Alone 2? Central Park and the Plaza Hotel are waiting!
Burn off the holiday desserts with Wii Fit
Those huge Christmas meals and all that fudge and eggnog aren't very good for you. They taste good, but you just know you're going to put on some pounds by season's end. Kids love to stay active, and they love video games, so why not play Wii Fit with them? The winter is no excuse, burn off those pounds!
Send each other Holiday Flair on Facebook
There's a Facebook application called Pieces of Flair, so if the kids are 13 or older you can arrange to have everybody pick out fun pieces of holiday flair to send one another. Just head to Facebook and add the app, and you'll be able to choose from a vast library.
