Nokia N79 firmware version 11.049 update fixes massive list of bugs
Nokia has rolled out a gigantic firmware update for its N79 handset. The N79 just went on sale last week, but the manufacturer already has a hefty list of new features and bug fixes ready for it. The new software, version 11.049, delivers fixes for web browsing, still and video camera use, and N-Gage games, among others. The list of fixes and changes is around four thousand words long, hitting big bugs like dropped calls, as well as obscure, non critical bugs that few users would ever run across in the first place. The full list is available online if you're really curious about what's changing, but the crux of it is simple: this will fix more bugs than you ever realized the phone had, so be sure to install it.
Considering how vast this list of fixes is, and how soon Nokia is releasing it after the phone became available, it must have been aware of all these issues at the time of the phone's release. It might have been nice for the company to wait a week before selling the N79, if only for the sake of standing behind a quality, finished product. At least the software's available now, and affected users should be able to make the upgrade via an over-the-air download through their wireless carriers.

The Music Player Equalizer is not working. The Default preset, Bass Booster, Classical, Jazz, Pop, and Rock equalizer options all give the same sound. I updated the firmware version to 11.049, but the equalizer problem is still there. It is simply not working! Secondly, kindly provide different projection formats for the GPS coordinate measurement for various systems and datums as provided with say Garmin hand-help GPS receiver. I am a Nigeria and I will like to see my Nokia N79 displaying coordinates in UTM using Minna datum. Thanks.

I have also update my n79 with newl launched versiön and i note that the camera zoom is not working with the button giving in the side of left speakers bt it is doing by scroll button and before it is doing fine with as we doing the dual (hearing song as well as click photos ) and the sound are giving the same response on jazz,pop,rock,classical this problem is still there and also tell me about hanging problem i have a 4gb card nd it is loaded only 1.8 gb till instead of this is doing hang

My N79 camera quality is not good.
I set the picture quality as the highest (5MB) under camera settings.
But picture sizes vary between 500 KB to 1.5 MB.
Any adbanced settings to improve picture quality?

My N79 network works fine but after coming out of the nonetwork coverage area, My device does not automatically searches for network, its need to be restarted.
