Here's a novelty for you. Bet you didn't know your iPhone or iPod touch can save your life! A new accessory called iBreath has gone on sale. It's a breathalyzer that connects to the iPhone or iPod's USB charging / docking port. It draws power from the device so you don't have to find a power plug to use it (though it comes with a car plug as well). If you want to check if you've had too much to drink, you just flip out the blow wand and exhale for a few seconds for the results. It records up to 0.1%; most U.S. states put the driving limit at 0.08%.

If it turns out you are good to drive, it also functions as an FM transmitter, letting you send music from your iPhone or iPod to your car stereo via the radio. Unfortunately, it costs $80 — quite a bit more than most other FM transmitters or personal breathalyzers of this caliber.
