Everyone wants to be able to watch TV everywhere now! It may seem a little dangerous to have your eyes glued to a screen while you're on the go (watch out for that wall), but if you want to brave it, SlingPlayer Mobile is finally available for BlackBerry phones. SlingPlayer streams video from a set-top box (called a Slingbox) hooked up to your TV.

The makers of the product say you'll need a WiFi or 3G internet connection on your phone to do it, though some folks say they've been able to get it to work on the slower EDGE cellular data networks as well. Of course, you have to buy and set up a Slingbox at home — that should run you at least $179. Luckily for you, we have pages with information on all the Slingboxes, and we wrote up a quick guide to the setup a while ago, so there shouldn't be anythign stopping you from using your stuffy, business-oriented BlackBerry for entertainment!

At the moment the program is in beta testing, which means it's been temporarily released to the public for free so the guys and gals who made it can sit back and watch to see if there are any problems they need to fix before charging for it. Once it's out of the beta testing phase, it will probably go for about $30 since that's what the versions for other devices cost.
