The Dell Inspiron Mini 12 featuring a 12-inch screen, running Vista, and priced at over $500 doesn't really fit in with the normal definition of a netbook. Even though the size of the device is still a bit large for a netbook, yesterday, Dell started offering the small laptop in two models running Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux, the latter of which weighs in just under that $500 mark at $499.
