A major security flaw has been discovered in Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser versions 5, 6, and 7. It is a "zero-day" security flaw, which means that the flaw has been in Internet Explorer since the software was first released. The flaw was discovered by hackers before it was discovered by Microsoft and would allow a compromised website to execute malware on your computer or grant hackers access to your machine and your passwords. Over 10,000 websites have been compromised since the threat was discovered and security experts are recommending that Internet Explorer users switch temporarily to another browser until Microsoft addresses this security hole.

If you're an IE user looking for an alternative browser, Obsessable recommends that you give Mozilla's free Firefox browser a whirl for the time being.
