Twitter will use Facebook Connect too

Earlier today the news broke that online mini-blogging community Twitter would start working with Google Friend Connect, a service that lets you use the same login information to connect to multiple websites. Of course, Facebook has a service similar to Google Friend Connect (called Facebook Connect) and there was no word at first from Twitter as to whether or not it would be supported too. If you're a big fan of Facebook, here's some good news; it turns out that the Google deal wasn't exclusive, and Facebook Connect and Twitter will be friends after all. One of the founders of Twitter cleared that up when speaking with Silicon Alley Insider earlier. Because Twitter supports both options, its members will be able to connect with even more people, so this is welcome news.
