The T-Mobile G1 and Kogan Agora will soon no longer be the only Android-powered Google phones on the market, as both Sony Ericsson and HTC have announced more Android-based phones arriving in Summer of 2009. Gustaf Brusewitz, a spokesman for Sony Ericsson Sweden stated that Sony Ericsson's first Android-based cellphone will arrive in the Summer of 2009 and that the company will initially be focusing on high-end products with products designed for a larger mass market later. In a separate instance, HTC indicated that it will be releasing "one or more" Android-based phones in 2009.

All this is good news for both consumers and for the Android-platform. More device competition means better products for consumers and more market share, feedback, tweaking, and improvement for Google's mobile platform.
