Logitech's latest gadget for tech consumers is the Comfort Lapdesk, a stand to make resting a laptop on your lap more comfortable. The Lapdesk is built with a glossy white, deceptively non-slip surface that looks straight out of an iPod commercial. The top holds your laptop level while providing an arching bottom support, letting you sit with your legs bent naturally and not having to worry about balancing your computer so it doesn't tip forward. The big selling point is probably the insulated, padded base to keep a modern hot-running laptop from becoming uncomfortably warm to work with.

Besides the padding, Logitech designed the Lapdesk with an internal air spacer to further insulate you from your computer. While the Lapdesk seems to solve several common laptop-related problems, you have to wonder if that's just not the laptop gods' way of telling you to sit at a desk in the first place. If you insist, however, on taking the word "laptop" for its literal interpretation, then Logitech's Lapdesk might be a good fit for you. It should be available early next year for $40.
