Even giants can fall down sometimes: major web network Yahoo! reportedly experienced at least 30 minutes of downtime around 12:30 PST this afternoon, with search, mail, and other services affected. In an ironic twist, some of the top searches at competitor Google were related to the outage. It doesn't look like everyone was affected though, and some have speculated that it was a DNS outage. If you're an avid Yahoo! user, worry not about such talk; it doesn't matter because everything seems to be back to normal now. The internet's a big place with lots of options, so when a downtime like this occurs, look around hard enough and you'll probably find an alternative to tide you over until normalcy returns.
