The update we mentioned last week that adds high definition Netflix support to Samsung's BD-P2500 and BD-P2550 Blu-ray players is now available. If you've got one of those models, head on over to Samsung's website to download the update image. If you already have the October firmware update, your player should be able to automatically detect and install the update. Otherwise, get the download from Samsung's website, and once you burn it to disc and pop it in your player, you should have access to the HD Netflix content that was previously only available from a set-top box through the Xbox 360. Sweetening the deal, as if the HD content wasn't enough, Samsung throws in a few bug fixes to improve compatibility with existing Blu-ray discs.
