Asus is expanding its Eee Box line of nettop PCs with the B204 and B206 models, both of which are intended for use as media centers. The Eee line is known for minimalist specifications, but even though these new machines don't get the Celeron upgrade that was announced for the B202 model, each includes a 160GB SATA hard drive, an HDMI output and an ATI Radeon HD 3400 graphics card with 256MB of memory, ensuring that they'll play HD videos smoothly. They're able to connect to 802.11n Wi-Fi networks, which allow large files can be copied from other devices in the home network quickly. Asus is also including a remote control and its own software for playing media and navigating Windows. No info yet on pricing or availability, but these will likely be among the cheapest Home Theater PC options on the market.

The eee box B202 is really great. It handles 1080p MPEG2 with no problem. However, it doesn't seem to handle h264 very well. I want to buy the B204 because it supports HDMI w/audio (the 202 does not), but after 4 months, it is starting to look like vaporware.
