Motorola debuted its latest ROKR model, the EM35 slider musicphone. The EM35 plays your tunes with dual speakers or over a stereo Bluetooth connection, supporting MP3, WMA, and the assorted AAC flavors. Though internal storage is limited to 110MB, microSD support accepts cards up 32GB for building a music library. For finding new music, the EM35's FM radio tuner supports RDS data, identifying current song and artist when listening to a compatible radio station. The phone's specs are solid, if not overly impressive, with quad-band GSM reception, but data limited to EDGE. One useful non-music function the EM35 provides is a noise-canceling microphone setup for quieter calls. The handset sports a 3.1-megapixel camera and its Linux OS supports add-on widgets for customizing the user interface. The EM35 should be out in stores before the end of the year.
