Engaging the culture at large for both good cheer and brand promotion, electronics giant Sharp has joined hands with New York charity The Hope Program to mix technology, Christmas, charity, and green collar jobs all into one program. Sharp decorated a New York Christmas tree with 43 LCD HDTVs from its Aquos line, each of which it will give to entrants in its Aquos Experience Sweepstakes. For each person that signs up, the company will donate one dollar to The Hope Program's green collar jobs initiative. You can catch a glimpse of the HDTV tree (which plays a three minute video in a loop) near Grand Central Station any time in December, and the winners will be selected randomly on January 9th.
