As expected, the previously leaked Nikon D3x was officially announced by Nikon today with an $8,000 MSRP.

Although Nikon leaked the arrival of the Nikon D3x last week in its Nikon Pro magazine, the company officially announced the new DSLR camera today as expected.

The 24.5-megapixel Nikon D3x will be available later this month for a $7,999.95 MSRP for the body only.
