With a global economic recession in the atmosphere, electronics aficionados might worry about poor Holiday sales. This year's Black Friday data should calm nerves somewhat &mdash at the very least, folks in the industry have no reason to panic. Tech sales were actually up 3% over last year, although that may have been achieved with generous price cuts from retailers worried that consumers wouldn't be willing to spend much. Hence, revenues might still be down. The Nintendo Wii continued its winning streak by taking the trophy for #1 hottest item of the day, with Apple's iPod Touch and MacBook also topping some e-tailer's lists. HDTVs and Blu-ray players are shaping up to be big Holiday sellers as well, if Pricegrabber's figures are an indication.
