Microsoft's Jasper-revision Xbox 360 consoles shipping, include 256MB flash

Microsoft has released a new revision to its Xbox 360 consoles, a minor redesign affecting on-board storage and power consumption. The new system motherboards, code-named "Jasper", bump the 360's internal flash storage from 16MB to 256MB. This is now enough space to install the latest NXE dash update without relying on an external storage device. Unlike the 16MB flash, which was for system use only, the 256MB is accessible as a standard memory unit, letting you use it to store game saves and downloads. Microsoft includes a new power supply with Jasper-based consoles, now rated 25 watts lower than the previous model. A few motherboard chips get updates, including a new Southbridge, and what may be a re-engineered GPU now using a 65-nanometer process. The new motherboard is available now in 360 Arcade systems, expected to eventually migrate to the Pro and Elite versions, as well.

Hope the Jasper version gets rid of the 3 red lights problem once and for all. Supposedly it consumes less power which means less heat generation.
