Owners of the Samsung BD-P2550 and BD-P2500 Blu-ray players are in for an early holiday present this year, as Netflix's streaming high definition service is coming to the pair. The Samsung models already received firmware upgrades allowing them to access the standard definition library of Netflix titles available to other set-top boxes like the Roku Player. Until this announcement, the Xbox 360 console was the only one of these devices able to access Netflix titles in resolutions up to 720p. This exclusivity has been short-lived, as the two Samsung Blu-ray players will be able to stream the same content starting the first week of December. The Samsung players are now available online, going for as low as $300 for the BD-Live compatible BD-P2500.
