Back in September, Amazon said there was no Amazon Kindle 2 on the horizon, and then possible pictures of the 2nd generation of Amazon's Kindle ebook reader appeared back in early October. Now, rumors are surfacing again that a new version of Oprah's favorite gadget will be arriving sometime in Q1 2009.

TechCrunch claims that their sources confirm that the leaked pictures are in fact of the Kindle 2, which was supposed to be released in October when the pictures first appeared online, but that Jeff Bezos, CEO and Founder of Amazon, pushed back the launch due to problems with the device's software.
