LCD display manufacturer HANNspree has released its first pair of digital photo frames, the 7-inch SD7021 and 8-inch SD80M4MB. The 7-inch model is relatively basic, with 8MB internal storage, a three-in-one card reader, and is limited to showing still frames only. The 8-inch frame boasts 256MB internal storage, accepts pictures on SD, Memory Stick/Pro, xD, and CompactFlash memory cards, and can play H.264, MPEG-4, and XviD video. The larger model comes with three interchangeable faceplates, Christmas, birthday, and Valentine's themed. HANNspree includes two extra stands, so the unused faceplates can be used with traditional print photos. The SD80M4MB has a resolution of 800 x 480 and displays images with a contrast ratio of 500:1. All these extras give the 8-inch frame a $100 price tag, double the 7-inch's $50. Both models are available now.
