Dell has added a 32GB solid state drive option to their Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook. Adding the 32GB SSD raises the base price of the device to $449 and adds 28GBs of space to the ultra-portable netbook. However, if you're not picky about your storage space being inside the diminutive computer, keep in mind that you can easily find much larger capacity portable non-SSD hard drives that connect via USB for less than $100. For example, in the Storage area of its customization screen, Dell offers a Western Digital 160GB USB Passport drive for only $80.
