A new member of the popular Asus Eee PC netbook family will hit US shores on December 1 — the Eee PC 1002HA will retail for $499 and replace the 1000H here in the States. Configured similarly to the 1000H, the 1002HA will feature a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, 102.11b/g/n WiFi, Windows XP Home and a 2-cell battery providing a reported 5 hours of battery life. Laptop magazine had some hands-on time with a pre-production unit and pronounced it the lovechild of the Eee PC S101 and the 1000H, with design influences from both. Follow the continued link for a hands-on video with the new netbook.
