Apple has released firmware update 2.3 for Apple TV. This new update enables AirTunes streaming of music from your Apple TV to other Apple devices and AirTunes-capable speakers. The update also adds support for other IR remote controls besides the little Apple remote that comes with the Apple TV and used to come with every Apple computer. Installing this update will remove any third party software, like Boxee or XMBC, that you may have installed on your Apple TV.
