Wal-Mart is looking to kick off the new year by selling Apple's iPhone 3G in its stores. A leaked internal memo says that Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stores will start carrying the device on December 28th. This information has since been confirmed, with the phones first available at select stores, later expanding to around 2,500 of the company's retail locations. The memo unfortunately doesn't reveal any pricing points for the handsets. If you were planning on picking one up this holiday season, and can stand waiting a few extra days, you might have a shot at getting a bargain, considering Wal-Mart's reputation for cut-rate prices.
