Sharp HN-PP150 adds a thermal transfer photo printer to Aquos line

Sharp is bringing a thermal transfer printer with TV-out to its Aquos line. The HN-PP150 produces prints up to 4 by 6 inches using a 300dpi thermal dye sublimation transfer process, which is often used in high-speed printing setups. Sharp's implementation isn't particularly speedy, however, taking almost a full minute per print. The PP150 reads files directly off SD, CompactFlash, and Memory Stick cards, and supports media sharing over a local DLNA network. The printer can do some basic editing functions, but with no screen, you'll have to hook it up to an HDTV over its HDMI output. Considering that there are plenty of other printers with memory card readers and built-in screens, especially those with cheaper ink and faster output than this dye transfer model, the HN-PP150 doesn't seem like a good fit for most users.
