The Asus Eee PC 901 gets a slight upgrade in the form of the Asus Eee PC 901 Go that features an integrated 3G modem and two unexpected upgrades recently discovered by a French Blogeee forum member: a more powerful 8700mAh battery and a faster, solitary 16GB SSD flash drive. Previous models of the device had featured two separate SSD drives that totaled 16GBs worth of storage and a 6600mAh battery, which would typically last for four to five hours. The new battery is expected to last closer to seven hours. Currently, the Asus Eee PC 901 Go is available in France only and comes preloaded with Windows XP.

UPDATE: Liliputing notes that it is unclear whether this upgraded SSD and battery are only appearing on the 3G capable Asus Eee PC 901 Go or if Asus is sneaking this update into all their Asus Eee PC 901 netbooks.
