Samsung is beefing up its LCD monitor line with five new SyncMaster screens in a proper 16:9 aspect ratio. The 2333SW and 2233SW feature a 1920 x 1080 resolution and support HDCP over DVI for playing back protected 1080p content. The slightly-smaller 2033SW brings the resolution down to 1600 x 900. Samsung rates those three screens as having 1,000:1 contrast ratios and a five-millisecond refresh rate. Two smaller screens, the 19-inch 933SN and 16-inch 633NW only have analog VGA inputs and 1360 x 768 resolutions. Prices range from around $365 for the 23-inch 2333SW down to $185 for the 633NW. All five models will be available by the end of the month in Japan.
